39 N Huron St
Toledo, OH 43604Located in downtown Toledo’s warehouse district, Stu’s House is an artist collective that transforms unutilized historic space into a studio and community-driven gallery. The collective prioritizes resourcefulness by utilizing found objects and secondhand materials to combat environmental degradation.
By removing financial barriers, Stu’s serves as a "third space" where community members can engage in self-exploration through activities like yoga, sewing classes, and DIY exhibitions. Ultimately, Stu’s House fosters a collaborative environment that strengthens the connection between the artist, the local environment, and the broader community.
Tayler Meinen
@notreallytame
Tayler Meinen is a self-taught, interdisciplinary artist. Her practice spans across mixed media collage, textile, ceramics, pin-striping and leading + assisting on large scale mural installations. Using found objects as her main inspiration in her personal practice, she lets the piece find its own way into the world. Her use of salvaged items echoes her ethos of sustainability, finding a second or third life for something previously donated or discarded.
Spending as much time as she can traveling, she finds inspiration from the environments she’s had the privilege to experience. Often layering different media on top of another, Tayler uses the different cultures she’s experienced to influence her thoughts and designs.

Lee Harms
@summerr_melonz
Lee’s creative practice lies at the intersection of ecology, community sustainability and intentionality. Lee uses screen printing to share knowledge and stories of our local ecosystems on secondhand clothing and hand made objects. Character and Humanity drive his creative acts; he embraces joy in the home, playing with color and form through stained glass and lamp iterations designed from found objects. His lampwork considers the form and function of light in brightness, tone, and its connection to a space, using thrifted or already existing materials as a way to give a new life to that which already exists. Lee organizes and facilitates Stu’s House’s weekly coloring & collaging night every Wednesday evening, giving the community the opportunity to explore artistic creation while deepening connection with absolutely no financial barrier. He loves joy and fun and all the emotions required for those two things to feel so beautiful.

kp Pace
@sweetkpea kp explores big shape, big color and big line through a lens of the intrinsic duality of grief and joy. Our constant grapple. Push, pull, action, reaction. A circle is cut out - there is a circle and there is the cut out. And you have them both. This physcially manifests as non-traditional quilts featuring hand dyed fabrics, large hand appliques and hand quilting techniques.
They have 8 years of experience in glass blowing, but recently shifted away from this medium to pursue, what they call, “fabric drawing”, writing, and educating. kp holds classes at Stu’s House that focus on the basic principles of sewing and mindfulness. kp believes the physical and mental are deeply intertwined and teaches from this belief. They are open for commisions at this time.

Luke Stoeckley
@millerlitecandle
Inspired by y2k style and mtv, Luke’s practice pulls from beloved brand logos, CD covers, bmx, skateboarding and LA graffiti. His practice began at a young age, constantly drawing on notebooks, school papers and putting stickers on all his belongings. He is interested in and amused by the influence of advertising, envisioning the impact of his own designs and typefaces on city infrastructure. This resulted in a graffiti and street art practice in early years with a more recent transition to mural work.
Luke co-founded and ran River East Gallery in Toledo’s East side from 2022 to 2025. His current practice focuses on aerosol and airbrush in relation to time, temporality and storytelling. His relationship to working with aerosol is affected by the immediacy of it, the instant gratification it supplies, while holding in the back of his mind the lack of control he has over his work in public spaces. Will it stand the test of time, or will it be buffed by the city? These questions force him to grapple with releasing control and expectations.

Cyd Gottlieb
@pischonk02 Cyd’s work explores introspective healing, using layers of paint and mixed media to guide viewers through an illustrative narrative that evolves with each piece. Her abstract visual language references the twists and turns of everyday life, creating a maze, a dance, a floor plan, a map, an escape route, or a blueprint for others to study and potentially follow. After living and working on the East Coast for more than a decade, she consciously relocated back to her hometown of Toledo to establish her studio's roots, communicate across regions, and bridge the arts with lived realities in the Midwest.
Career highlights include the Ohio Arts Council ADAP grant award for 2025, a residency fellowship with Penland School of Craft in North Carolina, and contributions to cultural texts published by Harvard University Press. A self-taught artist, she holds a BA in Hispanic Language and Literatures from Boston University. Cyd’s work is available through Collector’s Corner at the Toledo Museum of Art, and she is open to local collaborations, commissions, and guest teaching engagements.
